The In-Joke Podcast #30 - Bond and Twilight
This week Peter and Gavin are joined by fellow Brisbanite, Jason Nash, as they discuss the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace and rip apart the Twilight series. This episode contains some course language and slightly adult themes, so unless you’re slightly an adult you might want to approach with caution.

The In-Joke Podcast #29 - A Day at the Movies
This week Gavin and Peter talk about two new movies they saw at the cinema last week. It was definitely not a date. They saw Guy Ritchie’s “RocknRolla” and The Simon Pegg-starring film “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People”. It was not a date!

- “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People” is based on the memoir by Toby Young of the same name.
- Simon Pegg plays Sidney Young.
- Kirsten Dunst plays Alison Olsen.
- Megan Fox plays Sophie Maes.

The In-Joke Podcast #28 - Scary Movie 3 and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
Peter and Gavin review Scary Movie 3 and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, trying not to get too heavily distracted along the way.

- Spoilers for Scary Movie 3, I Know What You Did Last Summer and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Again; the plots of these films are not the reason you’re going to watch them.
- There are apparently 10 Wayans children. Keenan Ivory Wayans directed Scary Movie, which was written by Shawn and Marlon Wayans. Shawn played Ray, Marlon played Shorty, and Keenan cameoed as “the slave”.
- Simon Rex’s character, the wanna-be rapper, was indeed supposed to be Charlie Sheen’s character’s brother.
- Charlie Sheen appears as the drug addict in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, not Pretty in Pink or The Breakfast Club. Peter and Gavin have only seen these movies once; they watched through all 3 of them on the same day, last year, which is why they have blurred together a little.
- Despite both Peter and Gavin having separately heard the story, no websites can be found regarding Leslie Nielson’s role in Flying High (or Airplane!) parodying a role he played in an earlier movie.
- New black best friends in Kevin Williamson horror sequels seem to be mandatory.
- The legal drinking age in the Bahamas is 18.
- You can hear Gavin complain about Marty McFly in more detail, in the second ever In-Joke Podcast.
- The phrase “Fridge Logic” is often attributed to Alfred Hitchcock.

The In-Joke Podcast #27 - Two Dreadful Films
Peter and Gavin review two dreadful films they’ve watched lately - the dark comedy/horror Teethand the black comedy/horror parody, Scary Movie 2. At some point in the twenty minutes that this podcast took to record, Barack Obama was announced as the newest president of America. That has no actual bearing on the podcast, but is still kind of intiresting.

- Spoilers for Teeth and Scary Movie 2, but as we say in the podcast, you probably aren’t going to watch either of these movies for the plots. If at all. Which you shouldn’t, because they’re terrible.
- Teeth currently has 82% at Rotten Tomatoes - 83% from “Top Critics”, and 63% from the Rotten Tomatoes community.
- We say “vagina” quite a lot in this podcast.
- By “chasticy”, Gavin means “chastity”, and by “cloitus“, he means “coitus”.
- This may be the first podcast ever made to contain the phrase “She becomes a secret undercover hooker.”
- Malcolm X is indeed the film Peter was thinking of - directed by Spike Lee, its gross revenue was $48 169 910 (according to the ever-reliable Wikipedia.) By contrast, Scary Movie 2 made $71 277 420, and Scary Movie made $278 019 771.
- Thinking about it, the fact that the characters are now in college in Scary Movie 2 had absolutely no bearing on the plot whatsoever.
- “Anna Faris” is the name of the main actor from the Scary Movie movies.
- The actor in Scary Movie 2 is Christopher Masterson. The actor playing Hyde in That ’70s Show is Danny Masterson. Neil Patrick Harris is famous for the roles of Barney in How I Met Your Mother, and Dr Horrible in Dr Horrible’s Singalong Blog, among others.
- Mild spoilers for What Lies Beneath
