Notes:
- The new website for the In-Joke Podcast is http://thechainsawblokes.com/podcast/. Past podcasts can be accessed directly from that site.
- Dan Beeston guest-appeared on In-Joke Podcast #16 - “Improv and The Dark Knight, with Dan Beeston”
- Kevin Gillese and Arien Konopaki have been doing improvisation seperately for 8-10 years, but their duo show “Scratch” is quite new.
- “And Time”, the Impro Mafia podcast, can be found here.
- Nat, the female improvisor, has her own blog - GirlClumsy.com.
- There were a lot of names thrown around, so here’s a handy guide:
- Dan Beeston played Simon Chesterfield.
- Nat played his widow.
- Wade played a Scottish fellow who was Simon’s manager and also Nat’s ex-boyfriend.
- A sample camera:
- When Gavin says he is “doing something with the camera”, he means filming. Not…anything else.

The In-Joke Podcast #20 - House Season 4 and Jeeves & Wooster
A discussion of Jeeves and Wooster, and the fourth season of House, M.D.
Notes: (yes, proper notes this time!)
- Mild spoilers for the second episode of Jeeves and Wooster. It also contains minor spoilers for House seasons 1 and 2, major spoilers for the end of House season 3, and even more spoilers for all of House season 4. The first half is pretty safe, but as soon as we start talking about House, switch off.
- Jeeves and Wooster was screened from 1990 to 1993. A Bit of Fry and Laurie was screened from 1989 to 1995.
- Hugh Laurie’s article on P.G. Wodehouse can be found here.
- There’s a handy website dedicated to QI transcripts. Stephen Fry’s direct quote from the referenced episode:
Yeah, you see, we have this idea that it’s rather politically correct to call anything that lives sort of around about the Arctic Circle an “Inuit” rather than an “Eskimo”, but she’s a Yupik. Calling her an Inuit would really annoy her, because she would think, “Oh, there goes another Westerner thinking they’re saying the right thing without asking me.” - Stephen Fry was celebate from the age of 22 to 38.
- Jeeves and Wooster is set in a non-specific time, somewhere around the 20s and 30s.
- When Peter says that modern shows have inferior secondary performances, he obviously doesn’t include Boston Legal.
- Despite being able to name the producer, creator, and one of the consulting producers, Peter still can’t name any of the actual actors from House, except for Hugh Laurie. Not overly relevant to the podcast, just an interesting fact.
- Hugh Laurie was in Namibia at the time of his House audition. The story was previously told in Podcast #7.
- “Taub” sounds a bit like “Sloan”.
- Spoilers for season 3 of Desperate Housewives woo.

The In-Joke Podcast #19 - Horror Movies, the Final Chapter
A discussion of Scream 3 and The Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness. Spoilers aplenty.
Notes:
- This podcast contains spoilers for The Evil Dead trilogy and the Scream trilogy.
- Some claim that the sun rising was what caused Ash (Bruce Campbell) to avoid being turned into a Deadite in The Evil Dead 2.
- Ash’s last name is “Williams”
- Patrick Dempsey appears in Scream 3 too.
-
The In-Joke Podcast #18 - Google and Press Gang
A discussion of the Steven Moffat sitcom Press Gang, and the non-Steven Moffat company “Google” and their line of products.
